Background

Established in 1994. Non-governmental, non-profit institution. Fields of interest: cultural dimension of development, intercultural communication and education, cultural rights, cultural policy, culture and society. Objectives: to raise awareness and promote networking activities for community participation in development; to build the communications capacity of community groups; to promote awareness of human rights, democracy and governance among a gender balanced community group, children and local NGOs; to promote better understanding of the socio-cultural elements as the value based communication tools for social changes. Activities: research, art performances, advocating/lobbying, local and community cultural development, networking, publishing activities, training and education.

FCHD likes to see a healthy, educated, culturally enlightened future generation in a well of social economical condition, violence free gender balanced developed Bangladesh where people enjoy their fundamental rights with happiness.

• Ensuring technical and financial support to increase cultural practice and protection.
• Introduce Human development, cultural and economical fair at the village level.

Opportunities for Youth

The organization working for the youth. For the youth FCHD and Art Gallery, Regular Seminar, Community Library Services. Moreover FCHD conduct different training programs for Life Skill Development training for the youth group of the community. FCHD also offer training and technical supports for other organization those who are interested to work on youth issue, especially for cultural development for the youth.
